Ok check out the site I'm in the process of upgrading.
Figured the lakes I go to, I needed something there instead of that plastic splash Guard.
Here it is.

10 gauge is fine for mild offroading but will bend with any good hit.

Nice looking product and design though!

Well I have smacked that skidplate alot with no damage to my oil/tranni pan or any other part where the skidplate protects.
I go offroading almost every weekend and I have had to redesign that skidplate many times before posting anything.

I also know some companies that use 10-12g steel & I use 10g.
It has alot to do with design
That is why alot of comp. use 10-12g as they have it bent properly.
How thick do you figure a manufactures skidplate is? I had jeep before this and the plate was maybe a 1/16".
You know 10g is over a 1/8" thick.
Sounds like I'm coming off defensive (sorry about that). But posting what you said what did you expect.

Easy there sensitive guy!

Most heavy duty skids are made of 3/16"

Well you know 10g is 1/32 under 3/16. Just thought I would clear that up.
I am blowing out the stocked 10 gauge Defenders.
I am now just offering the Defender in 7 gauge material which is 1/32 over 3/16, should be available in 4 weeks.

Talk to you later.

I was under the impression that they had alot of aftermarket support.
I will be expanding on various models of SUV's. If I can get a hold of a 95 I will work on the skidplate for it.
One question do they have skids that protect the oil/tranni pan on that vehicle?
I know they have the front skidplate.
Thanks

That front skid is the only one they come with...there is a "rock guard" available (stock) for the t case but its not enough to really protect it in real rocks...mine is squished flat. The earlier Pathys need an engine oil skid and a tranny skid, if something covers the T-case, then som much the better. The oil skid is the most important tho, that pan is way exposed.

Thanks for the info if you have pics this would be greatly appreciated.
I would like to see the hole underbody and where that pan is squashed.
If not that's ok I will check them out after I get back from holidays.
I'm just in the middle of trying to put together a pushbar that can hold a winch and take the stress.

OK, I'll pick on OffroadX, he's got a digi cam and he knows how to use it better than I do.

I was reading posts here and I thought lpperformance is making them.
It will take me some time 3-4 weeks to finish the first one after that should be easy as I don't have that year of Pathy at my disposal to fit them.
Thanks

I recall L&P mentioning they might do Hardbody/Pathy skids, but they haven't made any headway.
