On February 16 2006 I ordered a Detroit locker and a R200A LSD. They said the LSD was on back order for 2 weeks. They shipped my locker on February 21. I received it the next morning.

I've sent numinous emails. Last one I received said they were expecting a shipment this past week. I haven't herd anything yet.

I will be out of town for 2 weeks. If I don't receive anything darning by the time I get back I will be flying the RED flag.

I should have spend the $extra and went with calmini. That's the feeling I'm getting right now

If they don't have the product, I don't understand why they are selling it. Sitting on my hard earned money and leaving me in the blue.

Heres the way I look at it. If they don't have the product they should annotate it on the web site.

Just letting off some steam.

Alot of companies drop ship. Its just impossible to keep everything in stock.

Have you tried calling them?

I've only had great service from AC, my only thinking is for parts that are not in stock is to find someone else that has them or go with a different brand, forget back order. Good luck, but I would say give them a call on Monday.

sometimes I think backorder means they are waiting for enough orders to make a batch. not AC, just in general.

IMHO, if they're not going to ship it, they shouldn't charge for it.

I got good response from both e-mail and phone when I was hunting a diff and gears for my old C200. Jane was very patient and helpful. Mike had some input as well. They found the best way to get me going again and they sent me free stickers. Wink Just call them on Monday.

I've never gotten good service from AC, seems like that company is pretty hit or miss. They don't really seem to sell anything that cant be gotten elsewhere, so I'd shop around.

Sorry to hear you are having difficutly on your order. I have used AC sevral times. Jane, Volrick and Mike have always been very helpfuland very responsive to any concerns I have had. I have had backorders in the past, but fortunately my longest wait was 3 weeks.

The problem I have run into on my last two orders is missing parts. However, this was the manufacturers fault, as these orders were shipped directly from the maker of the product. When I called AC they immediately contacted the maufacturer and I had the missing part within three days.

I would advise anyone on direct shipments from the manufacturer to make sure all parts are present & accounted for before you disassemble anything. I didn't and it bit me you know where!

When the orders have come directly from AC parts have never been missing. They do a thorough job on their shipments. And they have always done right by me.

I have made 3 very costly orders with AC and had a bad taste in my mouth everytime. My bumper took 4 weeks to get here, after I was told it was in stock!

They did a f-ing job packing my snorkel and the template was ripped in half when it got here.

I orderd some 5.14 gears and they sent me the wrong pinion bearings and wouldnt admit the mistake. I have been treated like crap by Mike, Jane is the only reasonable person to talk to. Mike is a douche and I can say that I dont think I will ever order from AC or reccomend them to a person again.

I've had mostly good expierences w/AC. My stock torsion bars broke (Winter of 2000) after snow wheeling in PA (I lived in VA at the time), and I had AC overnight them. Due to two storm fronts colliding on the east coast at the same time (ouch!), it took 3 days to get to me, but you can't stop weather!

I've ordered gears, lockers (2 detroits for the H233B), bearings. Shipping was slow, but customer service seemed on par with any other mail-order company.

AC is a good company, sometimes they just can't get parts when they think they will...I ordered some Thorley headers for my 89' pathy..I got them and I was going to put them on, but I found out my frame was bent bad. Instead of trying to get it straightened I just bought a 95' pathy and swapped my lift parts....Anyway I had the headers sitting in my garage for 7 months, and I knew I wouldn't be able to use them on my 95. I called up AC and spoke to Jane, and all I had to do was pay for shipping and I sent the 87-89 headers back, and they sent me a set for my 95.

The only reason I usually try to order from other companies is because I live in FL and I have to pay shipping and tax, which adds up..Just have some patience, I'm sure they are working on it.

I got a phone call from AC while I was out of town on businesses.

On march the 30th AC left a message saying it will be an additional 6-month back order .I chose to take a refund.

I'm gonna go with calmini's LSD. Calmini told me they have them in stock ready to ship.
