Following the driving tips found here will likely be more effective than any snake oil on the market claiming big MPG gains.

Yah, Ive read that, but I also know my limits and driving like a granny is one of them.
One of my friends at work swears by this, and has claimed extra 50-100 km per tank (30-60 mi). Just though Id see what others had or had not tried.
I use redline, and in the winter (Up here) it certainly helps.

I dunno...to your point earlier, the writeup on the site reads suspiciously like a Slick 50 label. Slick 50 is worthless.

I was thinking the same thing....anything that has 4 pages of testimonials as the bulk of their website...Well it just seems fishy.

Anything that claims to treat the metal, coat the metal, or anything of the sort is BS.

Tune your truck up, get an alignment, check tire pressures, and learn to drive slow.

The technical data has me laughing here...

http://www.users.bigpond.net.au/kcsfishaholics/Bi-Tron%...ury%20Technology.htm

quote:
Bi-Tron coats all metal surfaces with a layer of positively charged ionic oil molecules.

quote:

Bi-Tron, however , is attracted to any hot spots (areas where engineering tolerances make for increased friction and therefore more heat and wear) because with the increased temperature there will be an increase in negative charge which attracts more of the positively charged Bi-Tron.
lol

FWIW, Bi-Tron is loaded with chlorine, which although helps with extreme pressures, hurts oil's ability to handle combustion acids. Also, chlorine is a halogen, which in combination with heat and hydrogen components creates Hydrochloric acid. Good stuff this is. It'll corrode the engine internally. Not good. Might as well be putting salt water in your oil. Not only that, but these products contain paraffin which will build up and block oil passages.

If you want even more chorine, try some Motor-Up.. that stuff will really ruin an engine.
