Local Nissan dealer quoted me about $300 to replace tachometer that has gone zany. It will lag and then go way past the true RPM. Just bobs around.

Anybody know of a good aftermarket source for Tachs, don't want to shovel out this much. I've tried scrap yards but nobody in this area has a compatible model in the yard.

i've got 2 suggestions... first, try one of our sponsors, abc nissan, where we get a discount. Second, head over to your local napa and pick up a cheapo dash/steering wheel mounted one, runs about 30 bucks and works pretty well.
