I just remembered these guys from my 510 days..
http://www.vg30.com/510vg30parts.html PL510-VG30 Header Set ............................................. $350.00 Cermachrome Polished Ceramic Header coating ......... $200.00 quote: $350 for the set, but you would need to make your own Y pipe. Still, thats a hell of a deal compared to Thorleys.. and probably better made!! Their contact info: Experimental Engineering 23969 NE State Route 3 Belfair, WA 98528-9699 info@vg30.com |

I'd be interested to see how close these come to the driveline and other parts under the truck. Might be a possibility though.

Datz, how about that oil pan, do you think it doesn't hang as low as the hardbody/pathfinder oil pan?

Its a lot higher than the stock pan. On the 510, you have to cut about 3-4" off the bottom of the pan to make it work. The only issue is that the sump sits further forward than the 4wd pans.

Is the starter in the same place on the 300zx and 200sx trannys? If not, could be a problem cause Im sure those arent built around truck trannys.

another thing: 3 into one vs the "tri-y" (acually dual y here) on the thorleys?
just an observation, I have no idea if it makes a difference. BTW, I saw those up close at the shasta meet several years ago. Very nicely built... Ben []/ \[] to []---[] soon |

The starter is in the same place on all VG30e/i engines. The v6 200sx uses a normal v6 tranny, afaik.

Those are very nice looking headers. Had they used equal-length runners they would be even better, however, then they'd cost as much as the Thorley design (wish those bastages would make some for the '96-'97 KA24E, 4x4 KCs!).

after i finnaly got my pacesetter's to fit, i found them to be pretty nice. they are actual longtubes. the thorleys are shorty's.
when i take em off again when i swap in a newer 3.0 i have i am going to use the old style header wrap. they let out SOOO much heat. |
