Last week on the 30th I put in an order for parts for my Pathy. I ordered UCAs, sway-away tbars, warn premium hubs, a high lift jack and an idler arm brace. About two days later I received shipping confirmation for two packages and proceded to track them.

The tracking said everything would arive today (the 7th) so I began taking my truck apart this morning. I received two packages at 5:30pm today. They contained the tbars, hubs and brace. The packing slip had them all circled with the words "shipped" written on it. So I decided to call them and it went something like this.

AC: Hi
Me: Hi, I just received half of and order and I want to get some tracking numbers for the rest of it.
AC: What did you order?
Me: UCAs, sway-away tbars, warn premium hubs, a high lift jack and an idler arm brace for my pathy
AC: Ok, what is your name sir?
Me: Daniel P.
AC(right after I said my name, I doubt he looked anything up): Alright, well we haven't shipped those yet.
Me: Why not?
AC: Well we had to pack the high lift jack up{what kind of an excuse is that} and we are still making the UCAs for you.
Me: Um ok, I kind of have my truck apart because I expected those in today, when can I get them?
AC: They should be ready by the end of the week, begining of next week. {notice no dates}
Me: I kind of took my truck apart because I thought they were coming in today, why didnt you call me?
AC: We didn't know you were taking your truck apart.
Me(WTF): I didn't know they didn't ship, I usually expect a call when something like that happens, Can I get them any sooner?
AC: We'll try.
Me: Um alright bye

Really WTF?! Is it hard to expect a call when a order is only partially shipped out? Also, the guy seemed like he was sort of making stuff up as he went along. Is this normal from them?

I would suggest contacting Jane at Jane@4x4parts.com to see if she can help you - or calling back and asking for Jane or Nissan Mike directly. I, personally, haven't had any issues with A/C.

AC is a small company and they probably remembered your order. Did you ask which parts had shipped in the first package? I wouldn't expect to receive a Hilift jack in the same package as an idler arm brace or hubs or torsion bars. I'd think there should be at least 3 packages there - Tbars separate, the jack separate, and maybe the rest of the stuff in another box. Don't get me wrong; I'm not trying to make excuses, but this is fairly common among aftermarket parts suppliers.

The lesson is to confirm availability of parts when you order them. If they told you everything was in stock up front, then you would have every right to be upset. Buyer beware.

Hope it works out for you. I hate stories of service not up to expectations. From this experience, you'll ask all the right questions next time you order truck parts. Always ask if your parts are in stock and if they'll ship at the same time. If they're not, ask for specific dates, and if they're unable to supply them, remind the person you're dealing with that you can spend your money elsewhere - but my point is to get all your questions answered up front. Things get back ordered all the time - not just truck parts, but stuff out of any catalog.

Do post back once you have everything and all is resolved!

That sounds about right. Sometimes items are backordered or have to be shipped seperately for whatever reason. They do farm out the fabrication work and sometimes the shops can be backlogged. Nissan parts are hard to get.. but they are doing their best to get them for us. I had to wait a couple extra weeks for my torsion bars because of them being backordered.. but when they finally shipped, they got here very quickly. I've never had a problem with an order.

Just be patient.. and you'll get the parts.

Hi,

Sorry to hear about that. I have not had any issues with them over the years.

I know how excited you were and how you wanted to get a jump start on the tear down, but I try to wait until I can check the parts before I start the project. Even if it is all shipped, there can still be issues.

I expect top notch service from them based on past experience. Call Mike for confirmation on what is going on. He is a straight shooter.

as for the highlift jack, they come in there own box. i bought mine from summit, they slapped a sticker on the box it came in shipped it my way. it's probably even easier/quicker to ship than something they have to package up.

man, I wish I had that kind of money! I don't think I've spent that much money on my truck total (for parts anyway) over the entire time I've had it, let alone at one time!

Sorry, that's off topic. Best of luck with it all man. Post some pics of the truck when you get it all together!

Thanks for the help, I wasn't expecting the jack in the same box, but its all good. I delt with the ordering completly over the internet so there wasn't much of a way for me to know about their stock.

Oh well, I threw it all back together in about 2.5 hours so I only had my truck out for a day. Between balljoints/CV boot last month and this, I've gotten to know my suspension pretty well.

94HB- if you think thats bad add in 5 rims, tires, RS9000 shocks and ford coils. After working my ass off and living cheap for a year, I finally scraped together enough money to do this.

Well mine has been a slow and super cheap build-up so far. I'm saving to move out and go away to school, so any spare money goes to the bank smiley50

Just to chime in, For me personally, Mike and Jane have always given me the best customer service.

Just make sure to ask if it is in stock and if it isn't, a realistic date of availablility.

I ordered the window visor like Will got for his pathy because I have been looking for the inside the channel mounts and he said his were from AC.

He posted a link and I used it to order online. Yesterday they called me and ask for an address clarification. It is confusing because the US Post office uses my house number and subdivison name (Rolling Meadows) and UPS uses my house number and street name (Lynwood Dr). Also until about 3 months ago it was Lynn Drive but the city decided to change it. Since there is no a street called Rolling Meadows no one can find us.

Then tonight about 6pm they call me again and ask which style of visor I am expecting - in the channel or stick on? I said in the channel - hang on - comes back and said ok we will get them and ship em out. Why they did not ask me this yesterday I do not know.

This is my first order with them so and the address thing is a pain in the A&& but the call todays kind of struck me as odd.

I would rather they called instead of just mailing out the wrong part.
