I found a dude with a brand new never used can-back shell made for a Toyota double cab short bed. It is a black one with windows on the back and front only, roll up sides. I got it for 400 bucks, which is good for new and unused considering can-back is so hard to get to make one right now. I am doing the bed bob to fit the shell, which needs the length to be 60 inches, so that is finally settled. Now I need to consider a xo cage since the show bar is out of the bed. Chug

I hate toppers, but I love my can back! Even though it is very sturdy, I still worry about tearing it, just cause I won't know how or where to fix it. Other than that, it's cool to roll the sides up and go safari style.

Yeah, if I had one, it'd be shredded by now by palo verde trees and chapparal. As it is, Im surprised mine still has glass in it.

Yea got it off Pirate from some dude I once sold a wleding setup to, that works for All-Pro now. Can you show me some pics of yours and the brackets and stuff and how it all attaches? This one has no installation instructions, and I have never seen one installed or at least not the inside.

Its pretty straight foward instal. The only hard partwas figuring out how the straps went. I spent the 1st 3 months continuously tightening them up until I saw the right way in a mag. So what color did you get?

Oh my gosh, I just found out that folks are really frustrating over getting one of these shells. Apparently the manafacturer is in a limbo state of business and the used ones sell for as much or more than new, especially for the 4runner ones and bobbed bed sizes. I got a smoking deal! Smokin

I'll send ya some pics in a day or 2. Maybe I should have a custom one made and sell mine? I've had 2 snaps break in the last 2 weeks. Should be an easy fix once I get a snap tool.

I wonder why the heck they would go out of business?!?!? I thought they had multiple-months long waiting lists for these things??!?

Sounds like the business to get into then.

YEah they were on a waiting list forever, took me 6 or 7 months to get mine when i was quoted 6-8 weeks. They still owe me money actually, they just stopped returning my phone calls and their phone would be cut off every so often like their bills weren't paid. I was afraid i was going to get screwed out of all of my money throughout the time i was waiting for it to come in. You would think they would be making otns of money but apparently there were only 6 guys or something working for the company and thats why it takes so long. Last i heard they were going to try and re open and have the tops pre-made for the application instead of making them custom. I probably have one of the last can-backs made....
