I agree with that, and when I used to have a hardbody, I looked in vane for anyone who sells them, but nobody does. I suggest a tranny strap like a racing vw, those are simple and affective.

Bigblocks of rubber. C'mon! What were they thinking?

So-o-o-o-ooo....Is the only REAL "upgrade" for our motor mounts to replace the factory RUBBER pieces w/ Polyurethane pieces????? Thanx for the input!!! Later... Chug

There arn't any available that I know of. I suggest for your fine rig, get someone to weld the mounts solid. Then just use a thick rubber gasket. But you still need the tranny bolted down better, and it is possible your tranny crossmember is too weak a design and you need to beef it up some.

That "tranny crossmember" is just temporary! We just needed to do that for driveshaft clearance, but it will soon be removed and replaced w/ several new x-members(to prevent ANY frame twisting that may be occuring) along w/ some skids. smiley4 . I REALLY like this DESIGN Big Grin and am going to try to replicate it while my T-Case gears are being put in. Big Grin Oh...just so you know...my motor mounts are fine...just checked'em last night! Wink I'm not so sure about welding the engine mounts fast/solid, I like the rubber cause I'm sure it sucks up A LOT of vibration...so as long as mine keep up the good work...I'll keep'em "as-is". If/When they break...I'll beef'em up!!! Thanx for the replies and Later...

Thanx TF&J, I also like that design!! Actually I've been thinking about that style also. Especially because it's MUCH simpler in design and just as effective!!! Thanx again....Later.... smiley4
