I also think a swap would be better. I don't like the idea of trying to find a new ouput shaft because I screwed up the install.

I don't have a problem with a hack-n-tap. Was going to do that to my Jeep, but bought a Pathfinder instead.

I would want one, Id rather cut and tap myself than disassemble the output shaft. Cheaper the better too. What flange style(s)?

If the mod to the output shaft can be done while it is still in the t-case with only the rear cover removed, I would rather do it that way. If the output shaft has to be removed either way, premodified swap would be the way to go. I'm more familiar with the insides of the t-case since I installed the gears but removing the output shaft from the t-case will require more detailed tear down. What are you looking at for a core charge and will it be charged at the time of sale or if the core is not returned within a certain time frame? Sometimes I get parts and they sit around for a while until I can get the time to install them.

I'd be interested in this, but its not high on my paticular priortiy list. Way to many other things to get done. But a T-case/SYE combo would definetly bump it up on the list....a T-case/SYE/R&P would make it even higher still. Big Grin But to be honest, I'm not ready for a SYE yet, but for $250-$300...its a "well its not that expensive" type mod too. So who knows, I flop back and forth on these things so much.

As for pre-mod vs. hack/tap I think I'm more of a pre-mod person, I don't tap well.

Ok. We're going to do it with a pre-modified output shaft. It will be using a flange that will accept a Spicer 1310 joint/CV. I'll have pricing and lead time posted next week. If you guys want to call me then and add something to this thread before we go to production, great. I'm gone until Monday.
