for the most part it was the AC board that made apparent the need and demand for such a product. If AC and Calmini were in cahoots, AC could at least be getting a cut of calmini products sold through their board. Anyway, seems to me we could get some better and cheaper products if these companies work toghether

I don't see it as a money issue (I amy be wrong) but I think Ac having more product to ffer will help them, and having a bulk buyer can help Calmini by can sell more cheaper with less effort.

I'm sorry if I crossed any lines on this subject, it is not meant to bring trouble.

No lines have been crossed yet. It's good debate and is the basis of why we have discussion boards.

Nothing wrong with talking hypothetically.

AC did cook up the first steering solution for Nissans, but it wasn't up to snuff and/or safe and was canned before production got underway. I think it was DR that had the prototype and killed it.

Calmini sells their stuff through xterraparts.com, I don't see any reason why they couldn't be sold through 4x4parts.com too. Hell, I was shocked to see AC selling the X/Frontier skids from skidplates.com, figured they would have some made like they've done for other models. Same with the Shrock bars, AC could certainly have their own line of sliders fabbed up if they wanted too.
The one thing that DOES irk me is how AC seems to go out of their way to hide the manufacturer of the products they don't make. If you were after a set of Shrockworks sliders, good luck figuring out that's what AC sells. I've seen Nissanboy build a darn good knock-off of the Shrock design himself, who's to say AC isn't knocking 'em off too? And when it comes to the R200 LSD that they sell, forget finding out anything about it. Is it the Nissan/Nismo unit, or some questionable one-off made in Singapore? The world may never know...
