I'm going to start trying to run down some local vehicles to make some products for the hardbodys. First up is sliders for the Pathfinder and pickup.

Wanted to get some feedback on what to look for, and I figured this would be the best place to ask.

Is anyone aware of any differences that would effect slider mounting during the years the pickup and Pathfinder were productced? Frame changes, body mount locations, body changes in the rocker area or wheel weels, etc?

This is what I have found for production years & general info for the hardbody pickup and Pathfinder. Correct?

Pickup: 87 - 97
- There was an extended cab and
regular cab during this time?

Pathfinder 87-95
87-89 - two door only?
90-92 - 4 door only?
93-95 - some changes made

How popular are body lifts for these vehicles?

Thanks!
Jim

86.5 to 97 Hardbodies all years have option of regular or extended cab.

As for the popularity of body lifts, they are definently popular. We are hard pressed to get more than maybe 4 inches from the suspension, so many go with a body lift.

A TM 4" susp lift on a HB or Pathy isn't real common. Most have 3" A-arm lifts, 2-3" body lifts, or both.

One thing to remember: all HBs have body mounts that are 1.5" taller than Pathy body mounts...so there's 1.5" more frame showing on HBs. This makes it easier for them to weld on sliders without doing a BL.

2 door and 4 door PF's use run the same wheelbase. Some of the later ones sit lower on the frame than earlier ones.

Thanks for the all the info so far guys.

Is the 2" and 3" body lift equally common?

3" is most most common, as it's available for all ladder-frame Nissans, than the 2". I chose the 2" myself, because it was available for my '93 (last year of bolt-on 2" body lift availability), and didn't want the extra 1" of body lift.
