Is L&P Performance still around...?

Just wondering, because I was trying to send a few potential customers away from the blue side! Also, since I have a setup myself it'd be nice to know that there is some support.

Technically the site is up but not in the form it used to be. Currently it just appears to be a forum and no mention of steering items for sale.

He sells good quality parts. Lately it seems like he's fallen off the planet.

He offered a good alternative to calmini.

I know!! I got the stage 2 setup and it has been really well. I was hoping to hook up 2 people who were looking for alternatives to calmini and SLR.

My setup is great but have to say that I had to file the holes on the idler arm a bit, then had some issues with the IA having a bit of a gap on the IA shaft. All minor stuff.

I hope that he's ok, and bummed that they aren't making parts anymore.

I installed my L&P Stage 3 about a month ago with no problems. Getting the old pitman arm off was a PITA, but installing the new system was painless.

Phil was real good on the communication, too. Everything was delivered on time and as described.

The system certainly paid off a few weeks back when I went to the Harlan Off-Road Park in Harlan, KY. It was nice hitting the harder trails knowing the steering was going to hold up.

BMXCARD, So you actually had recent contact! So all of your parts went on smoothly? I'm guessing now that I probably should have exchanged the IA I received. But once you start getting into it it is a bit difficult to stop.

MDPATHY, How do you like the calmini setup so far? Did you look into the spencer low racing setup too?

I'm not L&P, but I am trying to track down someone who contacted me earlier. If one of you contacted me about making a centerlink for you in February or March but haven't heard back from me, I've either lost your contact info or I never received it in the first place. I am back in the country so I will be available through email from now on. rbcscapegoat@yahoo.com.

lpperformance.com has changed their website overnight. I looked at it yesterday, browsing the steering systems. When I looked back at it today, and the homepage has completely changed. There is no mention of steering systems anywhere.

Any decent machine shop can duplicate what L&P sold. If you can't reach them, consider that alternative if you don't want to drop the coin for the Calmini, TC, or SLR setups.
