We need atleast 4 preorders before making the first batch of adapters. Click Here to order:
Nissan 6-Bolt Transfercase Adapter
This adapter is to REPLACE the 30 spline input TX-10 transfercase, from a 3.0 or 3.3 V6, with a Dana 300, NP231, Atlas, or STaK with 23 spline input.

This adapters length was taken into consideration in order to keep the rear output at a near stock position while pushing the front output back which helps with front drive line angles on SAS'd vehicles.

Please keep in mind transfercase clearance issues will vary between transfercases and applications. but the removal of the Torsion bar cross member is most likely required. Recomended for SAS'd vehicles only.

Includes:
-The adapter plate
-a clocking ring w/bearing
-an intermediate shaft.

you can PM me or e-mail me (steven@ruggedrocksoffroad.com) if you have any questions.
Thanks,
-Steven

so, is anyone ready to order one? i don't understand why no one else has jumped on this.

i'm down for one NOW. i just don't want to preorder one unless there is at least 3 other definate buyers besides me. (i really don't want to pay an extra $325 for just a single adapter for myself.)

Not trying to be a dik here, but not sure why you don't you invest in your own design and carry it out to it's final incarnation; and then get a ton of orders? I see a CAD drawing and a good idea, go make it and see if it works.

Is Rugged Off-road actually producing this adapter or another big company, say Advance Adapters are?

I think a few companies have thrown a net, but since not enough fish committed, they probably paid us lip service.

Just to let you guys know... This project isn't dead.. infact, it's sitting right next to me.

Heres the deal with what happened.
The originally was working with Stak (you may or may not know of them, they make a 3-speed t-case and do alot of adapter projects) after the adapter was designed they couldn't give me any gaurantee that it was going to work and wouldn't turn one out to test before doing a full run on them.

This is after i dumped $$ into a rebuilt tranny and shipping to texas from california....and back.

Since i wasn't willing to dump over 1K that i didn't have into a one off adapter that might work, the project sat untill jun of last year.

I met Mike Partridge, the owner of Advance adapters at a Dealer Only show. i talked to him about the adapter and he wanted to get things rolling asap, so did I. I had a few parts to test fit sent out to me by the end of the week. which i used to get things rolling.

Fast forward to today-->>>>-->>>
I got the adapter in today to test fit for what i was hoping to be the final time. but there is a clearance issue we are working out with the heads of the bolts that are on the adapter plate on the transmission side. The adapter is close....very close.

Sorry, I had too. What cost are we looking at now? Am I correct in thinking that the complete transfer case is replaced with a the adapter and a Dana 300? I know you just received the adapter, but what are your plans for linkage and speedometer adapters?

haha i'll get pics up in a little bit.

i still don't have cost esitmates because basically the entire thing was started over from scratch since i was originally working with stak. but we are so close tp havig it complete i shoudl have pricing estimates up soon.

and yes, this to to REPLACE the tx-10 with an atlas. Originally when the adapter was going to be made from stak we were going to use a 23 spline adapter spud-shaft but now that advance adapters is working on it we went to a 31 spline to help eliminate the chance of the spud shaft breaking, we have not yet decided on what spline options will be avaliable but the version i am working with is 31 spline.

From the last moc-up that i did with the atlas it looks like all the shifters will both come up out of the same hole in the floor from the existing shifters with little to no cutting but i will have a more definate answer next week when i do the next test fit.

Advance adapters has connections with a company to take care of speedometer cables.

oh and BTW, i just got off the phone with mike, and he came up with a solution to the bolt interference problem i mentioned in the last post.

Things are looking good.

FYI, it is my understanding that Nissan has about 7 different linkage set ups for various models (manual, auto, D21, WD21, D22 etc.) So be carefull if you state that one size fits all. Looking foward to seeing more of this.
