A quick moc-up,

The 6 (only 5 shown) bolts that are on the close side of the adapter will be counter-sinked into the plate on the production version.

Thanks!
your front DS will need to be longer but if you have enough slip in the one you already have then you should be ok. The front output is being moved back a couple inches from stock. the rear should end up at about the stock position and it's up to you what type of output you use since Advance Adapters custom builds the atlas' for each order and they have a few options for the outputs front and rear.

Steevo if you get this to work with a manual I'll defiantly be ordering a set-up. How low can they get the atlas?

This adapter will let you mount the atlas 2 speed which is offered in 2.0:1 or 3.0:1 or 3.8:1 or 4.3:1 or 5.0:1 or 6.0:1

there is also talk of eventually be working on an input shaft to mate directly up to the nissan trans for the atlas 4 speed which can be geared as deep as 10.34:1

technically the 4 speed can be bolted up to this adapter but then it'll add another 4 inches to the length. with the custom input shaft it will sit almost exactly in the same place as the 2 speed does.

If I'm going to throw this kind of money down I want the 10.34:1 ratio.

Anyways 6.0:1 is awesome. No need for a dubbler which I don't really want. I just want a really low X-fer case.

the new atlas 4-speed Input shaft won't be happening for a while but i'm going to do what i can to speed up the process.

but at the same time... 10:1 is really deep

I'll most likely stick with the 6:1

Did the final mockup.... here are a few pics..

Things are are looking good. when i get the complete t-case installed i'll have the shifter come through the floor at the factory t-case shifter spot in the floor and having a custom shift boot made up to accomodate all 3 shifters. a speedometer cable will also be made to hook up to the stock speedometer.

and and the spud shaft we're using is a 31 spline! and if that breaks.... you'll have bigger problems...

ok steevo, I'm getting a little excited. Are you going to sell everything as a kit. I mean aside from the adapter and t-case, what other parts will be needed to complete installation.

I'm planning on making the kit as complete as possible.
-Adapter
-T-case
-Cable Shifters
-Shift Boot (hopefully/most-likely)
-Speedo cable - not sure if i'll be able to include it in the package yet or if it will need to be special order per truck...

other than that you need driveshafts.... and thats all that comes to mind right now, but i will make a finalized list when i do the final install but i'm pretty sure thats everything.

This just came to my mind. What will have to happen to the tranny cross member? Mine is modified for the SAS. Will it have to be modified again? How heavy is an ATLAS?

if you have modified your cross member to go above the front driveshaft then it will be fine.

if you modified it some other way then post up a picture if you can so i can take a look at it.
