I was looking at an Isuzu forum earlier and they got Tera Mfg. to make 5.38 gears for there axles. The had to get 20 people to put up some cash for the gears in advance before they would manufacture any. They got enough orders and the gears just became available last month. The price wasn't too bad either. The price was $224.00 for front and $234.00 for the rears. This would save the Nissan crowd some serious cash and more people could afford to build up their trucks. I will go back and find the link if anyone is interested in getting something like this going.

So, Who will be the point man on this project. This would definetely be a possibility if I had more info.

Personally, I would love to be able to keep my rear axle if/when I do a SAS. However, at over $500 for gears, it's more cost effective to switch out the rear also.

I just put in my order with AC for my 5.14, BUT I would much rather have 5.38's.

I know this isn't going to happen overnight, so I will still get my 5.14's for now, but you can count on me for a set of rear 5.38's(not the front). I'm a definate. I just need gears before AZ's Feb. run.

Hopefully I could sell the 5.14's later to somebody.

Uh oh...Brian's spending the big bucks now. smile

My 3rd with ARB and gears is sitting in the garage waiting to be bolted up this weekend. My goal is to have it all together by Xmas so I can wheel later in the week. Am waiting on new idler arm bushings to be shipped and I'll have everything I need for this session of truck work...

I found saw the gear info on 4x4wire's Isuzu form under the archives. Tera gears is the subject, maybe someone from there could tell you guys who you need to talk with at Tera Mfg. to get some action.

My AC gears are in the truck now. Waiting on the drivshaft and It'll be on the road. Believe me, that was a hard decision to spend that kinda scratch on R&P gears when Yota guys can do both ends for just over $300...

I'd be in. As long as the ball starts to roll before I get mine. Has anyone brought this up to AC or SLR or Calmini? I bet the 1st two would be interested. I am sure they would be good for at least 2 sets each. With me that makes 5. Shad, Wilbuburns and an1malch1n another 3. That brings us up to 7. What kind of time frame are we looking at? I would not mind giving them a call and setting up a contatct. I am sure we can find 13 more souls.

Very interesting..... : Could probably count me in for rear only. I believe D44 has 4.39. If so, you can definitely count me in. Of cource, need price confirmation.

I would be interested too. I wonder what size tires I would have to run for those gears to be close to stock though?

The front is all done. They sent the rear springs off the get then tipped and a leaf added to lift the rear. The lift looks about what I wanted. 19" from ground to frame (measured just below the divers door). This should make about a 4" lift from stock height. I can add another 2.5 inches at very small cost. If the gears go through; I will probably run 33s and will need the extra lift.

I should getit today... If so, you will see me in the morning..
