Can this compressor be used inplace of the ARB compressor?

Does an ARB compressor run continously when using a locker? I don't have one yet, but plan on one in the near future, so options are always good.

Putting a X9 winch on the truck presently, so the locker will wait a bit.

My QUickair 1 was 185+tax a few years ago.
It was reliable until I started pumping to 135.NOte: air horns are really loud at this pressure Fart FActory pressure switch shut it off at 105psi(until I changed to a higher rated pressure switch.

- The 1050 is more than twice as fast at filling my air tank- as the
Quick(slow)air.

Once the locker is pressurized the compressor shuts off. ALl it needs is 85psi. I guess the ARB compressors have a pressure switch set to shutoff in that range- possibly higher- but it's not needed and is hard on the O-rings.

BElow is a very rough, incomplete description of how I think the compressor should be installed
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

fuse- relay- pressure switch- compressor( input power)
..........................................................

compressor output> copper coiled tubing-acts as heatsink/condensor> water separator/filter> check valve> manifold to separate circuits controlled by 1/4" ball valves...

Examples:
> separate tank circuit
>airhorn
>air suspension
>ARB, of course

DOwnstream from the ball valve that controls tHE ARB locker, install a pressure regulator. Cheap , does the job, and has a small pressure gauge, too.

There's a website that tell's a whole bunch more. I thikn it's called KilbyEnterprises. They have pretty good diagrams of air systems. I think they're more geared to engine driven compressors, but much of the how to crosses over.

It's not hard to do- just takes some thought.
