The hose that is right off of the thermostat blew and had to be replaced.

It took about 30 min. and we used part of a spare lower hose to do it.

Ooohh. radiator hose carnage. Smile At least it wasnt the little elbow hose we have on the Pathys thats between the lower and upper intake manifolds. Dunno if the X's have those, but they are the *worst* things in the world to change. I bloodied my knuckles real good and spent a couple days off and on changing mine when it went.

Ask Mikey about his fun with that hose in COlorado. haha

Little Elbow Hose Pee

Great pics though! Liked the spider pic.

Actually it was the small hose.. I don't know if it is the same as for the Pathy.. but it was a bitch to change (and we had to improvise with a lower radiator hose)

Here is the hose in case you missed it..

Yeah, i know that hose.. not too bad..

If that one has gone out, the little elbow coming off the top of the lower manifold, going to the upper manifold is probably going too. Might want to pick up one from the dealer and keep it in the parts box.

After that little elbow hose went, I replaced ALL my hoses.. they were gettin awfully soft too.

Mine went unexpectedly and was an absolute bitch to change. Frown

That's discouraging seeing hoses blowing on a truck that's less than 3 years old....of course Carlton has over 100k on the thing but still....

On my truck I'm at about 63k, but it's fast approaching the 5 year old mark. Better start thinking about replacing the hoses on it I guess. It's due for a coolant flush anyways.

Carlton,

The stock nissan hardbody is looking forward the your videos also Smile

Oh by the way, I just got on to this site, nice bunch of folks. So this is where they go in their off time.

Well, goneMOAB taught me many things. I had a blast and could very well be hooked. Ahh, the money pit looms, and I've got to work on my down slopes. Sigh!

Mods planned for my 97 D-21 hardbody:

rear lockers (Sigh, unavailable for my diff.)
Maybe diff change, possibly traction control (I am an electronic tech, difficult though)

skid plates, definite (Where the H-- do you connect transfer case skid aft mounts!!!)

Articulation, possible
If I remove, or modifiy, the suspension stops and use extended shocks, I should get several inches more play. That's provided that it doesn't eat my front drive links.

Suggestions?

fezz

P.S.

Desert_rat, still looking for your wheels. Your right, they are somewhat rare.
