yup. i dont like anyone working on my truck even if they wanna do it for free! id have to be pretty hard up to pay someone.

i had never done a clutch job before, never even dropped a transmission but i got mine done in a weekend while taking it easy so i didnt screw up. if i were to do it again and no probs came up, i could do it in a day easy.

The dealer is the only place I'm going to take my truck when it's clutch time.

Only 2 things I'll take my truck to the dealer for. Timing belt and a clutch job. Two important things I've seen way to many shops F-up.

That's what I was thinking. Hell, rebuilding the tranny is easy.

So you're in the middle of doing a solid axle swap but you can't swap out a clutch? It is 11ty billion times easier than a SAS.

I know its a jeep thing..... thats why I drive a nissan.

It's not that I don't know how. More like I'm not willing to. There are 2 things I hate doing on a Nissan truck. Complete timing job and dropping the tranny. Might be a different world on a sas'd Nissan.

It is a night and day difference. I could drop the tranny in both of my SAS'd nissans in under two hours.

I'll still have one crossmember to drop, and one upper control arm, but other that, it won't be too bad. Must have had the T-case on and off a 1/2 dozen times getting my new mounts fabbed up.
