I talked to FlynHardbody today about the axle, here's the details I have so far:

1988 Jeep Waggy axle
3.73 gears
Completely rebuilt
Sandblasted/painted
INCLUDES steering components and Waggy front driveshaft.

When I pick it up I'll post some pics!

That thing is sitting here in Phoenix. You'll still need a carrier and gears....but at least the 3.73's are low enough to maybe get a few bucks out of on Pirate.

Yeah I'm actually looking at gears right now on Ebay and 4x4parts.com. I'm assuming I'll have to change my gearing in the rear. What should I go with? I've been looking at 4.88

DOn't got for 4.88. run the 5.13's, which is the lowest gear you can run. i had 4.38's with 29" tires, the math says I should run 5.38, which I am.

I have 4.9s in there... seems alright to me. My speedo is almost nuts on, and the truck feels like it has as much power as it did stock...granted, that isn't much

You have to replace the rear anyway. Go for the 5.13/5.14.

Unless you can find and swap a rear with 4.9's cheaper.

Order your rear gears from AC, not ABC Nissan.

I'm jealous. I got the axle from DR this weekend but it'll be a while before I get to shop for the rest.

I had very bad luck with AC giving me my gears, I would advise against them at all costs.

Dont be too jealous, I'm just trying to get everything I need to buy together so I can make a list and check each thing off as I buy it. Wont be ready to install for atleast 8-12 months.

and I'll take everyone's advice and go 5.13.
