Well, I ended up getting off work early, so I went over to CompUSA and bought myself a digicam. Big Grin I've officially joined the next age in technology! Big Grin hehe

They were REALLY easy to build. They took me about 5 hours to build, and alot of that was holding the carpet in place so the glue would set.

Here are the pics: (12 pics to load)

Hmm... I wonder if the river doesn't allow outside linking. That would be pretty stupid.

SWEET!! looks kickass. Are you gonna put some sheetmetal over the holes ahead and behind of the armrest? Reason being, any sudden motion could put ur hand or elbow into the sharp metal.. Duct tape could work too. Wink

Yeah. I'm gonna cap off the ends there. I'm also gonna put in a speaker (6.5") and make the other hole a map holder type dealy.

Yeah, a cupholder for each side, and door handles are on the list. Right now, you have to press a small button type dealy inside the door to open it. hahaha Security system.

I know I said I'd never put the doors back on, but I was reminded of when I ran Martinez Canyon. I almost tipped it on it's side, and I stuck my foot outside the vehicle to catch it. Yeah. Right. Mikey stop a vehicle from rolling. Anyway, with half doors, I can't accidently stick my foot out.

Haha... too funny. Wink I could see that. Besides, I think it would hurt like hell getting nailed by rocks or trees while you are detailing the truck with some Desert Pinstriping. I sliced my arm open with a branch from a mesquite tree one time... Eek

Those are pretty cool Mikey. Use a 6x9 speaker instead of a 6.5"....makes better noise.

I'm not too concerned about noise. Cost is a big issue though. I've already got some 6.5" speakers (and the hole in the door is ready for a 6.5") so I'm gonna use those. They were only 20 bucks for both, so I figure if they get stolen, it won't be too big a loss.

The engine is coming along slow. I need to get a Y-pipe, and it'll be ready. The tranny is gonna be a TH350, and the Tcase a Toyota one, so I need to get the adapter, and a Toy case, and I'll be set. I'm hoping that I can use a stock toy rear driveshaft. If so, I'll just build a box tube driveshaft. It'll be much faster, and a box tube will be stronger than a normal driveshaft. Plus I can make a spare one pretty easy.
