The lock right does replace the spiders. Maybe he means side gears.

I said side gears, which is what I meant. What's the question?
The large pieces of the Lockright "engage" the teeth of the side gears. If the side gears don't have the right number of teeth, it won't work.

i gotcha, lemme count em tommorow.


92 pathy- 3 link front, long arm rear, front EB 44 with ox locker and full chromo shafts, rear with full carrier detroit. 4.88/4.9 gears front and back. Currently on 35's.

There's got to be a reason why no one has installed mechanical lockers into a 33 spline diff.

yea, but everyone says the tater carriers are a 1 piece unit with 2 shafts i have a 2 piece unit with 2 shafts and 33 spline side gears. How many teeth are the side gears supposed to be?

Again, my understanding was that all open 33-spline diffs were 2-pinion...

and obviously i got something out of the ordinary, ill try to get a pic of the splines too. But i count em as 33 spline and its a 2 piece open carrier with 4 pinion.
