Why does it say shut off your motor when doing the 5 minute cooling down? For some reason, I think this is going to be easier for the trucks with lots of clearence under them. Mine is supposed to be here Monday.

There are a few instructions cut off the bottom of the first page. It asks that you run the rig in reverse while using a cut off wheel to remove the 1/4" of material they want you to cut off. This is a tried and true method they say, so it will be easy.

I went shopping for the cobalt bits and tap, and it was a no go. Home Depot had some cobalt bits, but only the pilot bit size was available, the big one, and the tap, are something I need to look for now.

I have access to about 20 drill bits in the 27/64th size. Smile And I can sharpen them or regrind them to whatever angle I need for the material I am cutting. Just for everyone's future reference, about a 145* angle on a drill bit works really well for Titanium, or any other hard metal. Smile

Couldnt you just find the standard size equiv bolt and just go that way? I mean its cheaper and more people have that available then the metric and odd ball sizes.
Also,
If you were just going to run a U-joint, instead of CV, couldnt you just drill out the stock slip yoke and then do same thing?

Sears carries the good bits. How does the SYE seal the back of the case to keep oil from coming out?

Looks like a pretty straightforward install. is the bolt pattern on the SYE the same as it is on the pinion flange?
