Its just replacing your slip yoke so it would have to seal the same way the stock slip sealed.
Same outside diameter.

Man.. that is KILLER!!!! Big Grin Looks like a pretty easy install that almost any of us could do. Basically, if you've ever used a cutoff wheel and drill for metalwork, you should be able to do this.

You drill and tap the output shaft to attach the flange.

...and the flange pulls up tight against the oil seal.

The outside of the splined portion will have to match the outside diameter the original assembly to seal the t-case. It's justlike when you put the axle shaft into the axle, the t-case seal is the same. Just ordered mine.

Gotcha.

I gotta get a front DS working before I get one of these kits. two driveshafts gets expensive. But it's on the list.

If you break your rear driveshaft, you don't have to find a way of plugging the the place where the driveshaft comes out of the Tcase. Instead, there is a flange and the driveshaft bolts to it.

I think it says a 2 piece can be used for advertisement reasons. I'd go with a one piece. Smile

You are not lifted enough to worry about it. A two piece shaft in this case, means a unit that has a splined shaft section and a splined tube section. The two pieces are able to slip in and out for articulation needs. The stock slip yoke style driveshaft, gets its' slip for articulation needs from its' ability to slip at the point that it enters the tcase. The slip yoke eliminator gets rid of the stock driveshaft assembly, by allowing a two piece driveshaft(like the one I just mentioned above), to be attached to a solid flanged end on the tcase.

That is what we want to use, and to attach that cv joint to our rigs, we need the flange(sye) on the tcase.

I need one now (it's on order, will be here soon!) because of my Revolvers and modified tranny mount (I replaced my tranny mount w/a Poly unit for a CJ 6-cyl. This raised my rear driveline about 1", causing my rear U-joints to become very close to bottoming out, but making clearance for me header so my front driveshaft no longer hits my header tubes! Now I can finally get my exhuast fixed! The side effect is less slop in the driveline, and more power to the ground. The Engine mounts are next, also Poly CJ 6-cyl units. They're going to take a little more work to adapt than the tranny mount).

i am looking at this because i plan to do an sas within the year...and thank your terence for explicitly stating what the hell that thing does...

so youd really need a slip style shaft for this set up, correct? otherwise there would be no way for the axle to articulate all the way, right?
