Forcing quest radiator in the HB..

The engine is the R50 configuration. So the alternator is on the passenger side by the battery and the power steering pump is on the driver side by the steering box.

This truck is probably going to have a hydro winch and maybe steering assist. It will all be powered by a PSC pump. The quest radiator has the auto tranny cooling circuit on the left side tank. This will be used on the return line of the ps pump to help keep the temp down. Naturally the steering reservoir will be moved to that side too.

Not only is the quest radiator bigger, it has the nice huge 2 speed cooling fan which all the fluid has to cross-flow past.

The fan shroud was a little thick. So a new unit was fabbed up. It fits will a little room to spare now.

The steering box was moved awhile back...

PSC pump

OK, I need to know if this is a plug and play pump for a Nissan. I will also be doing hydro assist. I've seen a psc pump used on several American rigs but not Nissan.

If you run the PSC pump I really reccomend you have a stock spare to go with it. My pump is on its way out and from what I can tell they dont seem to last too long from reading on pirate. Ive got a whine in mine that is getting worse steadily. Its on the list of things to replace and I will put a stocker back in its place.

They say to run them then check the reservoir magnet for stuff after a couple weeks.

However, I am sure you have it figured out.

No plug and play as far as I know.

There will be pics of mine here in the next couple days. It will be where the R50 A/C pump mounted originally. Doing this will make the pump run off a bigger crank pully. However, V-belts are a thing of the past on this setup.

So do you just get bored with one rig, push it out in the driveway, and work on the other one?

ummm... Kinda

Actually, the Pathy has been on the list for the NWF doubler from the week the price was announced. The doubler looks to be one sweet unit, but the "when" part has always been somewhat of an unknown.

Figuring it may be awhile, the Pathy was pushed out and the HB in. At least this truck will be wheelable this summer.
