How does that ride with one leaf removed? I am going to convert mine to spring over, and was thinking about going with a stock 5-leaf pack. If I can keep my springs, and just remove one (to keep it from being a monster truck), I'd like to just do that. Save myself a couple hundred bux Wink

I plan on beefing up to 35s, and staying there. No 37s for me.

if you remove a spring from your pack you will probably end up bending the main leaf. I wouldn't recommend it.

If you remove a leaf from a pack designed for a heavier truck, that's a different story.

exactly. the only way I'd ever run a 37" tire would be if I swapped out to a rear D44 or even a 60, and run a 5.38 gear, lol

sand bag, I'm running 5.38's in my d44's. 35's are not enough.

Stock 7 leaf waggy springs give you plenty of lift for 35" tires. However the 7 leaf springs are very thick. I'm running 1" spacers on my high steer arms and 1/2" spacers on my links to clear the springs.

AK9849CY- Thanks for the info. I also plan on removing a leaf for flexing. Looks like you are using Toyota springs out back.

Whaddaya mean? Is your truck a dog w/ that gearing tire combo?

I am running 33s with the 4.88 / 4.9 gearset, and it does okay. I can still do freeway speed (70-75), but rpms are kinda high; in the 3200rpm range (give or take).

5.38 and 35's are really too small of a tire for these gears. at 70mph I'm at 3500-3700rpms. Off road 35's are great since I don't have crawler gears yet. 37's and crawler gears would be much suitable for the gears I've got.

Toys...kinda.
Once again it is a morph pack. The springs are also inboarded about 5 inches.

The shackles are mounted even with the top of the frame thus not providing lift. They are long so they can flatten the arch in the spring more.

Here is my little girl showing dad how to clean.

It could look really familiar in a hurry. It is at the point now where it gets its own look maybe.
