I saw some of that flex pipe at Autozone recently, if you have those in Kanada. All of my exhaust is getting replaced soon and I was thinking about that stuff.

hey, thanks for the link!

Where you will have problems with the exhaust is at the collector. You will need to cut it and rotate it up or it will hit. Thats why you see people using the headers, they already have the collector moved and rotated.

looking fing crazy good. Honestly I haven't had any problems with my exhaust yet. I plan to have a new crossover pipe made, the one that crosses over the tranny. The rest of my exhaust is fine. However I'm running leafs.

Do you have any photos of this? I was going to route the pipes more like a D22 and join them further back.

That photo thread just about killed my laptop lol

Sorry, I changed to Thorlys and dont have pictures of the old setup. Basicly you take a saws-all and cut nice and close to the flanges on the collector, rotate it up and reweld, you will need to buy a couple of standard 20-30 deg elbows and fit them in the new location. That is the cheapest route. Also shave off the fins on the collector whilst you have it off, they can contact your DS when compressed.
The problem with the d22 setup is that they use 2 O2 sensors and they have the cat further back. You also dont have alot of room around the tailhousing to run over the rear DS, I too looked into that.
Here is a picture of the same thing done, but using the thorley headers, hope it helps.

Eever used electrical conduit for the bends? really nice mandrel bent "sweeps"- not crimped.

Yes, they're galvanized , so breathing protection is key( zinc fumes are toxic, as are most welding fumes).

Man this build up is sick. This is exactly what i want for my Hardbody except with a parallel 3-link. I love single cabs and there arent enough of them built out there. Keep us updated!
