basically, just cut it off on a straight line. cut another line a bit further forward and then weld on the first cut off piece.

Its not too hard other than the sheetmetal welding. Smile

Look up my screen name on AC's boards in the how-to section. It's a couple years old so most of the pictures are gone but the write-up is still there.....hopefully.

I'd love to post them but they were in my MSN groups folder that I couldn't maintain while overseas so it expired. All the originals were lost in a computer crash. Frown

Verbatum? Big Grin Funny thing I noticed was the Yota has single wall bed construction so using a jig saw works easy. We have double wall beds and I am guessing you either cut inside and outside at different times, or you use a long sawzall blade and whack it off all at once.

If you tape everything off, and follow the tape lines, you can use a short blade and cut the outside of the bed first, then move to the inside. Inside/outside of bed needs to be clean, so the tape will stick (narrow electrical tape works, cause it bends, and won't mar paint). Grinding the welds, you'll get cleaner results, and retain a strong weld with a smaller pneumatic air grinder.
