This one was major overkill due to necessity. I couldn't find anything with a 2.25" ID other than the tube I bent and the tube I'm using now. If I did this again I would have gotten the spindles with the 2" shaft and used 2.5" 1/4 wall DOM. Brent 1972 K5 Blazer

OK, it's done again. I have a small leak in the water tank (I think it's in the fill tube) that I need to take care of. Other than that I just have to pack up and go. Here's some porn for Keith. Brent 1972 K5 Blazer

Well, in the desert, you're suppose to have 1 gallon for 1 person per day. Including him, there will be 3 people in his group. 6 daysx3people = 18 gallons. Then add in cooking, cleaning, etc. etc. I'd say he's got barely enough water

I can imagine if you're trekking across the desert you'd burn through a gallon a day... but driving in the truck I don't go through very much... not that it hurts to have it...

Unless you break down... this time of year, its not bad, but in the summer, I can easily down a gallon of water in a few hours if out in the heat. So, the rule in the desert is a gallon a day per person for emergency situations. ------------------------------------------------------------ <--Click Me! We're going for 4 days and nights with 3 people and no stops for food, gas or anything. Have you seen how much hair my family has? I figure we'll be washing that at least once so there's at least 5-10 gallons. Washing up, water for the toilet, cleaning dishes, warm water to dunk your hand in while you sleep after drinking much beer... I think we'll do ok. I used to be a boyscout, I'm prepared. I'm guessing you're bringing 10 gallons of water for yourself. Multiply by 3 and there's 30. As for the gas, my truck gets crap mileage on the highway (~10) and only has a 25 gallon tank. I get even worse mileage offroad so I'm making sure I have enough. If I can I'll go the whole week without stopping for fuel or water, but I'm guessing I'll need to gas up for the trip home.
