dont know if i ever posted about relocating my shock mounts , but today i went ahead and bought some new u-bolts and made up 1/2" holding plate , looks weird not seeing anything hanging down but the diff haha, still need to put bumpstops on
old mount plate |

Looks good.
It might be agood idea to retorque them after some wheeling. They may settle in a bit. You wouldn't want to Goat a driveshaft. |

Looks good. What size u-bolts are you using. I wouldn't use anything smaller than 9/16. Also if you bend the edges of the flat plate up it will prevent any warping which might occur.
On my truck I torque stripe all important nut's and bolts. I have found a few which broke torque after a trail run. A white paint pen works good. There's actually real torque stripe you can buy, aircrafts parts supply will have it. 1995 KC XE-V6 4x4. |

Definately second the no smaller than 9/16" dia U-bolts. That waht I had when I was IFS. I had also built my own custom plates from 1/2" and bent the ends up. Super strong! Now I'm using 9/16" plates from an IH truck (going to weld braces to then ends) and 5/8" dia U-bolts.
