as is, i got a front axle on hold for me, 1200 bucks for d44 30 spline 5.38 complete with disc brakes and all. Same with the ford 9" 35 spline 5.38's rear w/ detroit soft locker for a 1000. Figured new custom front and rear springs + shocks will run me 1500 bucks (springs that will not break). I am guessing 1500 bucks for the whole steering setup. That is five grand (not incl labor). Maybe 6 grand to be fair, I want arb detroit locker for the front.

New steering, new lift, and a whole lot less than eleven grand.....

How much you got in your stereo? Add skids, a camper shell, custom bumpers, toolbox, spare parts, tires, wheels, and presto...you'll be right in that range. smile

I have $25.00 in my stereo, thats what it cost to buy a factory cd head from some guy. I need new speakers now. I won't go over $250.00on the stereo. I don't want to tempt any crooks. Now the suspension, I am into about a $600. I am not going to put any more into the ifs. I am about $500 into the Dana 44 swap. I am figuring about $1500 away from completion of the front swap. I will probably need a grand more to complete the regearing of the rear. I will probably go with a mechanical locker in the rear. Eventualy I would like to try out the new elctric locker by eaton on the front. Hopefully I should be done by the end of Jan.
Lator.....

your swap will cost more, I have been collecting the parts, and it is now up to 2000, and I need steering and shocks and a driveshaft still, and other costs too to be sure. Then there is the rear end to consider, I will just run a set of adda leafs for temporary til I get a descent rear end built.
