Mikey, are you using a adapter for the 700r4/NP205? I thought the only bolt on TC to the 700r4 were the NP208 and NP241.

As soon as I get my Tow rig/DD at the end of Jan. I am doing the exact engine/tranny swap as you so I can use Chevy full-width pass. drop axles. I can get a 14 bolt for the rear for $100. Just gotta find a D60 front.

What are you going to do for the motor mounts? I saw AC has some for $145.

No but seriously, that is a lot of money to put into a truck, when you could buy another brand of truck with solid axles already for a lot less.

I mean sriously, why do we do what we do to our Nissans (I know it has been "asked" before, not even asking just saying), when the basis for a good wheeling truck is already out there, like Toyota's or Maybe (sorry have to say the bad word), Jeeps maybe or even IH, if you can locate a good running IH. I am am not saying what we do, or what we plan to do is anything bad, I love my Nissan Truck 100%, but man that is a lot of money to put into something.

Edited to AD: Yes a SAS is crossing my thoughts daily, for next winter, Going to Marks house in Ohio just might push me over the edge on that thought Devil , I mean heck I am taking a couple of legal size note pads to make notes and such (Spying on your rig Mark Wink )

Frankie,

Yes, it's a lot of money no doubt and it's been a sacrifice of time and resources. Blood, sweat and tears goes into a project like this.

It just depends on where you want to go with it I guess.

Just having a Solid Axle may not solve the problem..most TJ owners XJ owners all upgrade axles.

Regardless....Real Trucks are Built Not Bought.

Take all the notes you want.

Okay, a 700r4 requires an adapter. I've thought about just making my own, but instead, I've got some other thoughts... Check out the new improved Mikey's Update thread. Big Grin hehe There will be alot happening in the next 2 weeks... hehe
