I like it. Smile

It's a fine line between clever and stupid.

Nice. I'm always surprised how little respect the H233b gets as an axle swap. Around here, at least, the junkyards are just littered with these things in the 4.6 ratio with LSD and discs. I suppose the downside is the cost of gearsets and lockers compared to some others, but that's what welders are for.

Looking great Bach! I love to see all the tig work. Could you show another picture of the rear upper link mounting sections on the frame? Looks awesome.

What I did there was weld a 3/8 circle to the plate steel and tap it all for 9/16 fine threads. The double shear section was cut with the shape radius on the bottom and allowed for the upper to droop. I ran a hole saw through both plates and bot sides of the from and welded a piece of DOM through it so the whole thing is tied together on both sides of the frame. I liked the way it turned out, but we were in a little rush for time to beat rain yesterday so I did not get to spend as much time on it as I would have liked. Anyways, its a design a little different than anything I have seen before.

Nice work. Is the picture just messing with me or is that rear section not even fully boxed?

The h233b is a better axle than the dana 44. Only problem is parts cost and availability.

I don't think that jeep will ever manage to bust the h233b. Just a heads up I think Steve is working on chromo's for the old style h233b.

The 233's weak points are the shafts, particularly the 31 spline ones. I've seen a close to stock 95HB snap one with a lockrite in the back and no crawler gears, so they're not foolproof.
