Hi all, new to this forum, looks pretty cool. Any ways i was light off roading last weekend and when i left the road i heard some nasty scraping noises underneath. Does any one know the parts list or names to buy the skid plates that com on the pathfinder off road edition? My 2000 explorer xlt came with them from the factory so i never had to worry about buying them. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the links for after market skid plates, but i was really looking for the OEM plates/part names and was going to try to find them from a junk yard or something. P.S. its an 06.

you'd be really hardpressed to find '06 Pathy skid plates in a junkyard... and ordering them from the factory will be more expensive than the aftermarket ones, and nowhere near as good...
but good luck, maybe try e-bay?!? Chug

What skit plates are you looking for. My hardbody came stock with a front skid plate which I eventually replaced with a better after market one.

All the frirst gen pathfinders came with what a front skidplate and one for the gas tank (standard equipment I pelive)I'm pretty sure hard bodies were the same. But being that I don't know what pathfinder you have this may not be useful @ all because I think the 2nd and 3rd gens are quite differant being unibody and more SUV-ish and less truck-ish.

its the 06 SE version. I got it used for an awesome deal + the offroad edition came with hill descent feature, which i didn't think i needed. Kind of kills the fun of man vs nature/ man vs machine aspect of off roading. if you check out this link http://www.nissanusa.com/pathfinder/specifications.html

from the Nissan site it says you get Skid plates — oil pan, fuel tank, and transfer case with the offroad edition that the se doesn't come with. I have searched oem Nissan parts sites and cant locate those parts.

Nothing to do with skid plates, but:

The newer pathfinders are not unibody, they are based on the Titan frame. Also did anyone just happen to notice that the VK56DE is available in the new Pathfinders?!?!?!?!?!

I looked in my version of FAST and found no skid plates. I would call up the dealer and see what they can do. ABC Nissan would be my first choice.
