My man Tom at Performance Gearing has set it all up for me and it now has the Detroit gearless locker, 513 gears, all new everything, and ready for the install.

LOL Yea Tom is not thrilled by seeing his one millionth axle rebuild, but the guy behind the camera was sure smiling! Anyway, the unit is sporting Yukon gears from Randy's R&P in Oregon, the axle is from a 87 Waggoneer and is around 63"s surface to surface on the rotors. The install is pending funds, and due to some plans to save for the AZIII run, I won't get it done til after then. I still need to have some steering links made and buy some shocks, then a driveshaft. I will run it without the driveshaft probly, because I don't want it down for a long period, and shocks need to come last because of the length being unknown at this time. Of course the rear end is also a concern, as I will have to lift it as much as I can to match the front, until I can build the rear Ford 9" I want to get. Staying with the stock rear for a while means not having the front shaft connected becuase the gears won't match at all. So, I figure a couple more months before completion, maybe 3 or 4.

T., very nice job!!! I am going to order my gears this week. I am waiting on my hiems and Hi-Steer arms now. I also bought some extra pinion yokes so I can see if I can have a flange made. Hopefully I will be tearing into it next week. Lator.....
Tf&J I would go with a high-pinion 44 rear if you are taking out the Nissan. The rearend out of the later grand waggy should be a 6 lug 44. Then you go buy a 2 3/4" tube high pinion housing and put the center into the waggy rear. You would use stock waggy axles and beable to get 5.38's and have less rear driveline angle and more ground clearance on the driveline and rearend.
Gator i'm not sure what flanges you are talking about but if it is for the front axle you just leave the stock 44 yolk on. My front driveline is the stock one that has been lengthened. My 93 Nissan front u-joints are the same as the Jeep or dana 44 you just take the Nissan flange off and bolt the driveline in once it's been lenghtened. The crossmember will also need modified for clearance.
