I think it would be more work thatn would be worth it. You would have to fab up new motor and tranny mounts and probably new body mounts. I would just get another Nissan frame and really fix it up as far as rust resistant coating and all. Thats just my opinion though.

I am about to do a similar thing. I have a 79 GMC Jimmy (Blazer). It has 10 and 12 Bolt axles, with a 350. I am chopping my 1988 Pathfinder to make it an extra extended cab, 2 door. The Blazer wheelbase is a few inches longer. I am going to fab up a small bed, to hold propane tanks. Currently, I am in the process of stripping the Pathy, then chopping the rear end off.
As far as the width issues from a fullsize to a mini, I am going to build a subframe on the nissan, then using a body lift, mount the tube subframe onto the original Jimmy frame.
I am going to start a seperate thread for this, so watch out for it in another month or so.

a blazer frame would be a perfect choice.

I don't know what the guy is thinking in hardbodys post. Definitely a mudding type of build up.

If you are gong to use a blazer find a early-mid 70's model with a front dana 44 and a rear 12bolt. Those are the blazers to have.

In the 80's GM started building their own 10bolts. They are not bad, but the older blazers had the best drive train.
