im a noob to the az run and im looking foreward to meeting alot of good people. i have no idea what its like, and im not sure what to expect, so if you guys could make some suggestions of some useful things to bring along i would appreciate it.
i bought a cot tent and a 20* sleeping bag. i plan on bringing a cooler with food, probably some hot links, a case of water, non perishable food, extra clothes.
i have a gerri can, but i was also wondering how far the nearest gas station is. the 35's on the frontier is not what you would call gas efficient.
'preciate it.

KY hahahhahahahah

I survived on Gatorade and Chex mix mostly. Bring all the stuff you think you need and then all the stuff you think you don't need.

You'll be wanting to bring your camera and your sense of humor. What goes on the trail stays on the trail.

This quote by DR has always stayed in the back of my mind:

"Trucks need to be in solid mechanical condition. If there's something that's been needing fixing, do it BEFORE the run so we can minimize trail breakage. I can't emphasize this enough!"

It's a fine line between clever and stupid.

Roastbeef and Mashed Potatoes, you do have a CB, right? That's mandatory.

Otherwise bring everything you need to live in the desert for a week. You'll definitely need your jerrican full for the first 3.5 days.

although Keith did his best to weld the axle back together a couple times unsuccessfully

I felt so inadequate not being able to keep those axle tubes together Pee and all I needed was something to build a make-shift truss. Oh well, at least Stone's driveshaft held up. This year I am bringing spare steel, although I know I won't be doing any welding on your truck Razz

There was way too much stress there for any weld to hold up. We should have just ratchet strapped it together from the get-go.

It had nothing to do with your welding skills.

There hasn't been in years past due to dry conditions, but this year it shouldn't be an issue.

cool. im planning on bringing a bunch of stuff that doesn't require cooking, but a litte heat would be cool.

another thing, i don't know anything about where we are meeting. i looked around, but didn't see any info. it might be right in front of my face but i don't see it.
i have gps and i will be using it to get there. an address, intersection, or lat/long would be cool.
