Baby wipes. Seriously.

There are porta showers you can buy for pretty cheap... They are usually a black bladder that you hang, and the sun warms it up. Now, these only work so-so, and your best bet is to use some kind of heat exchanger for a shower.

But, a washcloth with soap and water goes a long way... and the baby wipes are good for a quick clean Wink

For propane yes, but dont worry about bringing any ill have plenty.

As far as Hygiene if you dont have a shower, Baby wipes are the way to go.

I havent piped in much on your thread, but heres a couple of things to note:

5 Gallons of Water (Preferably More)
Lots of other soda/beer whatever
Snacks
Meals or something with a decent amount of protein
TOILET PAPER
First Aid Kit

and use block ice instead of cubed ice, or at least have one block. it melts alot slower.

baby wipes work better than nothing. Also, some of us have hot water heaters & portable showers. If you bring the water you will be more than welcome to use the water heaters/showers.

For cleaning, etc. I have a 5-gallon water container with a type of faucet on it and I use that for a sink. If you don't have some sort of shower, just bring a bunch of baby whipes (works pretty good, did that last year). For hair washing, they make shower caps with water/shampoo in them (used those last year too and worked great).

While 4x4 camping in Oz I found the basics were....

stove/gas, tent/bag/pad, bug spray, ass wipe, cooler and the best ice you can get (blocks last longer), basic cook/eat stuff, 10-15 gallons of water for washing up and 1-2 gallons per day drinking, fuel 5-10gal., garbage bags, first aid kit, flashlight, batteries, camera, shovel, axe, food that wont perish in a 1-2days, lots of beer (more than you think), lighter, spare tent poles/stakes, rope, tarp, chair, bio-friendly soap, few rags or towel and dish scrubber, a hat and sun blaock, variety of clothing including rain jacket/boots, med.-large plastic tub for dishes & washing your bum and more beer! Of course tools, jack, block of wood and spares are also needed.

Fudd posted a good list.

Sunblock is critical. You will roast out here.

Roastbeef, sent you a PM.

As for the run, I was thinking about not showering for 3-4 days before the run to get a head start on the rest of you.
