There are still a bunch of things I need to do, but at least I have a few extra days to work on crap (since I am running the last half of the run).

I would like to change my oil and filter, maybe add a remote oil filter kit. Also, I'd love to replace the cap and rotor, as well as the spark plugs and wires.

That was cool as heck 2 years ago when Robert broke his clutch, took it home and ripped it all apart, fixed it, and was back on the Run a day or two later 8)

I got my roofrack modified and added all the lights I planned on. Did a nice soldered connection wiring job on it and routed most of the wires inside the rack. Should last a long time. Smile

Today I drained and refilled all the fluids as one of the last things to do to the caR50. Well, I dropped a 2" section of hose down into the transfer case Complain So then the case had to come out Complain Complain After removing the case we found that I could have just pulled the rear case removed the hose and reinstalled. The rear case weighs about 6lbs vs the entire 125lb case. Complain

That turned into a lot of work.

Got my cage touched up with paint, except where the roof rack tabs still need to be welded.

Checked my alignment - good.

Got the CB and antenna installed. It's awesome.

Oil change done.

Replaced a broken corner light.

Cleaned the truck inside and out. Man, the cab behind the seats was nasty. Half a desert in there.

Did not get the brakes bled.

Sold my D44 in the garage.

Checked out my hot shower unit. Seems like it will work well.

Had a nice dinner with my wife and the Whitemans.

I still need to get my camping gear together. I still need to clean my air filter. I still need some groceries.

Getting closer!

I'll get some pics of the truck tomorrow. I'm beat.

I finished all my under-truck work today... wheel and spindle bearings all packed, diff fluid changed, all zerks greased, extra U bolt length trimmed, SAS bolts checked etc.

Now it's just a few electrical things (speaker install, fix my rock lights, fix the flaky power connection on my ham), cleaning, and camping gear prep!

Dammit...

The locker ratchets all the time, and doesn't lock my front axle Frown I dunno if I jacked something up while installing it, or if I have a blown up hub. Need to t/s it further tomorrow. I also developed a wicked oil leak coming from the front diff... I think I destroyed an axle seal while putting everything back together Frown Frown Frown

If I don't go out shootin with my brother tomorrow, I might try pulling it all apart, and going from there.

The truck still rocks in 3wd, lol

Thats the reason why I dislike the lock-right. So many people have had bad luck setting them up. It's like trial and error. Take it apart and reassemble until it does what it's suppose to do.

IMO, once assembled according to the book the lock-right should not have to be removed again.

I now have twin handles between the seats. That's right, split rear e-brakes. smiley34

That should give me an ace in the hole if I have one in the air spinning the LSD. Smile

Pathfinders use a cable coming from each brake. They are activated with a center-pull setup.
The HB, has a side-pull set-up that runs along the right frame rail. I believe this is due to the right side fuel tank. It blocks the center-pull set-up.

Using fabbed brackets, pull rods and adjusters, I connected the right brake to the stock handle. I routed the left brake cable toward the center and tied it into the Pathy handle that I added to the left of the stock handle.

I ran the switch wires in parallel, so the brake light comes on if EITHER of the handles is pulled.

Here are some pics of the handle assembly.

I added a stud and a tab to allow the Pathy handle to be bolted to the HB assembly.

Here is the opening in the tunnel for the Pathy cable bulkhead.

your a life saver res. I'm going to run a pathy e-brake cable set-up on my truck for the dana 44. It's been a small headache of how I'm going to set my truck up for center-pull. I did not know pathys used a center-pull system.

Got my right torsion bar adjusted to level the truck and bled the brakes. Adjusting the ride height brought the alignment in and it drives and stops like it should again Smile I'm so happy I could take a vacation soon.
