I think Goat would have beat me out for that one last year. Hopefully I'm not in the running next year

I have to replace UCA bushings real soon, replace an idler pulley/bearing and install the rear locker. I'd like to do the front axle swap but I'll need to win the lottery to fund that project.

Just this weekend I replaced:

  • Front wheel bearings
  • Front brake pads
  • Transmission mount
  • Upper ball joints

I also improved one of the skid plate mounts.

The next major mods are body work and some alteration of the ornamental iron on the front; probably a tube bumper to replace the tin one. I also need to convert the tow bar mount to a bolt-on part in order to fix my approach angle.

Gas tank lift and spare tire lift, also.

A few more new rims and fresh tires all around if I get a good Christmas bonus.

I'm gonna upgrade the front sheep brakes to dual piston calipers and beefed up knuckles. The kit I'm looking at will lock up 35's at 65 mph!

No, just closer to the underside of the bed. I can get at least 2" out of it. That will get it (at least) flush with the bottom of the frame if not above.

I may not have to fly solo next year. Some of the Mississippi boys are getting serious about attending. The ones I am thinking of are up to the challenge and have my endorsement. These are guys that I am proud to associate with. I think they are SWANKy material.
We'll see how things shape up in the coming months. I am counting the days until AZ RUN VIII.

Worst case, JW has a lot of space. I say worst case because he lives about 50 miles from where we'll be starting the run from and you'll have to drive it up from the Copa.

It could be left in my yard too. Plenty of room for it there.
