The Mississippi contingent may need a place to park a tow rig as well. The way things are shaping up, I may have three others besides myself. They are non-Nissans though.

I may have read the last post incorrectly.

You are aware that this is a run.......not one central camp like last year.

Meh.

If it was a central camp run it would be "LAZ8".

LAZ8 would be hiring Desert Ducks Tours to chauffeur us around all week.

Here we are 200 days out and I still have to do so much. The worst part is my budget for parts isn't going to get all done. I am looking at what can be postponed til after AZ8.

My truck is pretty much ready except armor and rock sliders.

I'll be installing-
1) Rock sliders
2) A/c front brush guard. Replacing the factory one
3) Rear axle guard.

If I can find a guy to fab me up a tranny&engine slider I'll be very happy.

My wish list is rear bumper and winch/ rear leaf springs.

199 days to go and you ask about upgrades? Its still 199 degrees out. I changed the oil and serviced the A/C, does that count?

I do have a locker to install. And UCA bushings to replace. And the rear springs could be replaced. There's an d44 on the workbench that will probably still be right there 199 days before AZ9.

My truck is sitting on jackstands in the garage, but hopefully I can finish up all the front end maintenance tomorrow. Oil is changed, bearings repacked, Ujoints replaced, front tires attempted to be balanced. My bed is still falling apart....oh well.

the truck hasn't had 100 miles on it since the last Coke ovens run back in May.

Not much to do...just tear down the passenger side of the axle, replace the Ujoint, repack the bearings, put in a new grease seal and put it back together again.

If you want to learn about the guts of a D44, you're welcome to come by.

Looks like I need a front end alignment on the sheep. Went wheeling a coupla weeks ago and whacked the left front tire really good on a rock sticking out by the side of the trail. Darn thing tracks about a foot wider since I put the 35s on.

I just got done tearing my 44 down, plus I should probably chage the oil in the X since the blazing inferno that we live in has cooled off.

Anyone have a suggestion for getting the spanner nuts out if they are rusted in and the teeth on one are stripped??? Good luck, huh?
