I'm really considering going out this year....
my list of mods to do is LONG but with any kind of luck a good chunk of it will be taken care of in jan.

thats alright.. unless someone dies and leaves me $15k+, I won't be going either. Still have yet to finish the truck.. pay off my moving debt from hawaii, and fix the busted tranny.. then actually afford the trip. 09 is out for me too, getting married in march 09.

we can have a 'I shoulda been on AZRun IX' bbq or something locally.

Doing my u-bolt flip tomorrow before I put the bed back on.

I might be there again. By plane, of course. Unless somebody has a VG30 they want to get rid of. I drove 300 miles to my parent's house two days ago and it's pissed. I think it has maybe 100hp.

Judging by the lists of mods of all these trucks, I'll need lockers to even attempt to keep up.

That first one will serve as the shower. This one, with its open bottom, will be the enclosure of choice for the 'dig-a-hole' toilet that I prefer to use.

Y'all are welcome to use them, but you will have to provide your own Bag-O-Water. I have a few solar showers, but I don't plan on bringing enough water to bathe everyone.

I put in for my vacation time. I don't anticipate any problems with that.

Sorry. I wasn't looking for sympathy or donations. I was just grumbling. I wouldn't accept it anyway, but it was nice of you to offer. Y'all don't owe me ANYTHING.

Let's face it; if it was easy, it wouldn't feel so rewarding.

I am hoping to get some new rubber and rims on the hot rod, but may have to settle for a pair of new tires on the old rims for now. We'll see. There is still time to work it all out.

The AZ run continues to inspire me to get more done than I otherwise would. I set my goals high and try to do all I can right up until it is time to go. The harder the struggle, the greater the reward.

I still need to do the u-bolt flip.

I still need to fix my rear main seal, and throw out bearing (doing that on Monday).

After that, install my front lock rite, and pay a visit to a friend to "spool" up my LSD.

...all parts have been ordered.

After that, I'd like to order some new ubolts for my front axle, and fab up some nice plates (like what Andy has) for the u bolts and nuts. It would be killer to flip the ubolts, but I dunno how I would go about doing that on the d44.
