I've still got to finish up the axle swap (which hopefully will be done in a week) and build my offroad trailer. I've got the parts for the axles and the leaf springs and a small pile of steel, but I have yet to do the first weld on the trailer.

Order, receive, and install Alcan springs in the rear.

Other maintenance (diff fluid change, grease everything, pack bearings, look for stuff that "don't look right" etc)

There's a few things I'll need to do to my truck once I get it back. It's going to be interesting to try and finish all this stuff before the run:

*Motor mount
*Fabricate new sliders
*Fix Calmini IA
*Install skid plates/buy the hardware for them
*Make/get new leaf packs
*Tires
*Put my stereo/electronics all back in

Then I've got to find all my camping gear. Since I moved into my apartment, half of it is at my place and the other half is somewhere at my parents. Wish me luck lol

There's a ton of play in it. I want to get a replacement (like the one Bob is selling) and take one of them to get the spherical bearing mod done.

Crap! That's what I was going to do, but I thought maybe yours was bent or something. Tell you what; YOU get it first and do the spherical. Then, I'll get yours on the AZ run and do the same thing. ??

I assume more will be tacked on with shipping etc.

I went with 4" - plus the calmini shackles will add another half inch or two.

I really don't need very much lift since I have the 3" BL, but the durn Calmini packs sagged so much that I have my coilovers as low as they will go and it's STILL lower in the rear than the front.

I did 6 inch springs, I wonder if the cost goes up per inch....oh well, I am VERY happy with these springs.

Id be interested to know how they work out for you in the future.

When I told the guy on the phone about the sagging Calmini packs he said something about cheap chinese steel. He said their packs will settle about 1/2" within the first 20 miles and then they should be pretty stable for the rest of their useable life.

Are you spring over? Mine are spring under...That might also account for a price difference.

That's a nice looking Patrol, Fudd. I'm looking forward to seeing it out there.

So is that's X2 or $480 for the set of two plus shipping? The toyota guys that run Alcans normally pay about $500 for a custom set from what I've been told.

I'm going to have some new mods on my rig if I have the time and stop replacing, repairing the stuff I’ve been wearing/busting on the runs. Maybe I'll just just chill until then lol I want to shave the front diff and redo the rock crusher cover since its ground down really good and seaps some then work on the rear suspension upgrade I have in mind.
