Actually I ripped it in Payson on a different night run.

Doesn't switching to low range require coming to a complete stop in the first place?

When I came to a stop finally I was in 4-hi 1st gear. That experience sucked bags of dix. I want to thank Marchall for saving the rest of my week by having a pair of longer stainless steel brake lines in his parts kit, and Brent and Keith and everyone else for their assistance getting my junk re-assembled on the trail.

Made it home to Austin... 17 hours straight...

Keith made it to the gas station by his house... I'm assuming he made it the remaining mile home from there.

I am home. Dog got excited and while I was taking a long shower chewed through my cat5 going into the living room Complain

I am going to run a compression test on the caR50 and see where we sit. My average gas mileage on the trip was 12.1mpg which is unacceptable. 210k on the 3.3 and it might need a refreshing.

Now I wait until next year *sigh*

Stew & me rolled in at about 9pm this evening. Took the long way home...went through Moab. Bummer we didn't wheel there though, solo and with the tranny mount we just bagged it. Got drunk though at the Moab Brewery and mocked all the Jeep Safari guys in town!

We had great week also. It was a major mission and long trip for us. Truck not entirerly ready when we showed up...you guys were great that Saturday night chipping in and helping us work on the P-troll. Also Sunday before we left with everyone helping out. Then dealing with our stuck asses and putting up with getting to camp at 2am!

It was a bummer for us that we had to work on my truck daily and tuning the suspension with load/empty sucked....but she was fresh out of the fab shop and is an old girl at 25yrs. Many times I said to Stew...well that just f*cked us! Now we are done and screwed...run over! But with a little love the Patrol always keeps on going...even when all 6 glow plugs are dead!

bummer list....
-6 dead glow plugs
-blown fuse at batteries
-leaky injector
-air in fuel system
-crack in fuel filter, drove 20 miles with it before it got replaced!
-bend front arm
-bent tie rod
-flogged sliders but they still good to go!
-2 busted and lost arials for CB
-busted valve on Fox shock, field repaired!
-busted into 2 pieces tranny mount
-wasted tail light
-cracked weld on front diff truss
-pin hole leak on rear diff from weld
-shagged drive lines but who cares!
-leaks all over gear boxes
-and other shit I am sure I am forgetting!

Dropped the truck off at the fab shop...should be fixed up in 1-3 weeks. Just in time for some badarse spring wheeling here in JH.

BTW, photos and video are awesome. Thnx a bunch John and everyone for putting it all up!
