Well we come with what was on our backs

Yeah, when the lea ves had died and all turned black

Back when the wind was cold and blew them round

When we laid our blankets on the ground

Yeah and I woke up feelin hungry

Lookin straight into the sun, and left a cold night on the ground

Like a dog on the run

I fell overboard and washed up on the beach

Yes, let the waves and sand roll over me

I was helped to the home of a young bleached blonde

Who said honey I discovered early in life theres ways of getting
Anything I want

, some of us are different

Its just something in our blood, theres no need for explanations

Were just dogs on the run

The room was painted blue and gray

All my meals were served on a silver tray

Oh she would laugh, and light m y cigarettes

She said honey, aint it funny how a crowd gathers around

Anyone living life without a net?

And how theyll beg you for the answers

But it wont ever be enough, theres no way you could ever tell em

Its just dogs on the run

Yay! Like the words. Wish I had the slideshow skills because I've got a Mark Knophler instrumental that's begging to be a soundtrack.

I have software you can have to load.

I've been listening to a lot of Kneopfler and Straits too.

I'd use that Petty tune in heartbeat but it's just over three minutes.

Too short.

Like some DS tunes when I'm driving, I dunno what it is about southbond but I've been really diging that one lately:

"Southbound again I don't know if I'm going or leaving home
Boy got to be moving
Seems like the boy is bound to roam

Southbound again got no money
I've got no place to go
That woman's with her lover boy
Never want to see her face no more

Every single time I roll across the rolling River Tyne I get the same old feeling
Every time I'm moving down the line

Southbound again last night I felt like crying
Right now I'm sick of living
But I'm going to keep on trying"

AZ runs remind me of this one also:

"Will you and your friend come around
Are you and your friend gonna get on down
Will you and your friend come around
Or are you and your friend gonna let me down

If you talk to one another
I'm a hungry man
Let me know one way or the other
So I can make my plans

Will you and your friend come around
Or are you and your friend gonna get on down
Will you and your friend come around
Or are you and your friend gonna get on down

I relive the situation
Still see it in my mind
You got my imagination
Working overtime"

Give me the good earth I was born on
Give me the sunshine the grass and the trees
Give me the open skies that I can dream on
Give me the flowers, the birds and the trees

Give me the good earth to lay my head on
Give me the mountains, the cool summer breeze
Give me the forests, the deep river valleys
Give me the oceans the fish and the seas

I don't need to know about the things that lay beyond my life
I don't need to know about the things that I don't need

Give me the good earth to rest my mind on
Give me the rainfall that fills empty streams
Give me the life in the hills and the meadows
Give me the seasons all the changes they bring

...

give me a freakin' torrent that works
