After last years "don't fence me in" Which I felt was pretty much the perfect choice for a song for the run pics, I have been kicking song choices around.

I have a few in mind, and the lyrics for one of them contains this...

"Its just something in our blood, theres no need for explanations
Were just dogs on the run"

Without a search engine, I wonder if any of you can tell me the song and who's it is...

Meh.

I'm thinking Cosmic Cowboy for a video sound track.

"... riding the range and being strange is where I want to be ..."

Porch Song - Widespread Panic.

If you love something set it free.
If it comes back, it will always be yours.
If it doesn't come back, it was never yours to begin with.

But, if it just sits in your living room, messes up your stuff, eats your food, uses your telephone, takes your money and doesn't appear to realize that you had set it free.....
You either married it or gave birth to it !!

It is a cool song - but that type of thing just doesn't fit with truck videos... I know the adrenaline gets going when you're on the trail sometimes, but the videos never show that and it just looks wrong. It's like pairing Type O Negative with a Golf instructional video.

HERE is a perfect example of someone who doesn't understand this.

HERE is one with a MUCH more appropriate song. I actually don't like the song - but the feel is right.

I'm not trying to be a yerk about this... but almost everyone gets this wrong and it really annoys me Wink

I actually found the first one more entertaining. METALLICA RULES!! smiley34

I get what you mean about the "feel", but having made several ride videos myself, I have to admit that it is difficult to achieve. That is why movie studios write there own scores.

My alltime favorite is Cowboy Swanky.

Glenard once again I figured out how to describe what you are talking about. One side of this is that you have little action going on but this super heavy song that should be played to a thermonuclear explosion rather than some trucks moving at 2mph. Most people like the song and like to watch the videos. They have no problem not associating the speed and intensity of the music with the lack of speed and intensity in the video. You make that association and everything is off.

The other side of it is that I associate a lot of the more popular rougher music played with people that are super ANGRY and sell super ANGRY parts because they are so ANGRY and their parts are so ANGRY. We all know that ANGRY is cool and that inanimate objects like trucks and parts can all maintain emotions like ANGRY or RAGE or FURY! That's it, the FURY. I guess am just not EXTREME enough to understand.

Something like "My Heroes have always been Cowboys" fits the genre we need.

Marshall, that's by Willie. Like that one?

Sure, feel free to use it on your slideshow. Cool

I have one picked out for mine actually. I wasn't looking for help, just to see who knew those lyrics.
