Hmmm.. we need to formulate a plan for a heated Tent City!

I'm gonna see if I can pick up one of these for the tent before the run:
http://www.zodi.com/web-content/Consumer/zodihotvent.html

Gonna need lots of propane this year.

Spoken like a true AZ native.

Cooler temperatures just means a bigger fire and more movement.

I bought one of these, so if anyone wants to borrow it. You supply your own water.

I eat at Taco Bell at least once a week. I know I'll feel sick afterwards, but I can't stop the craving. It must be like how a dog feels, when he eats his own poop.

I have an excellent tent heater and a 5 gallon propane tank.

Plus two dogs that will keep me warm.

It will be in the teens up there that night though.

Brrrrrrr.

Meh.

I've got one of those Mr Heaters too, but would like a ducted air system to prevent CO buildup. Looking online, it looks like Zodi has run out of the Hot Vent heaters.. they are back ordered everywhere I've seen.

I'll just plan on bringing the smaller heater.

I have a cot in my truck. Does anyone see a problem using one of those MR Heaters in my truck with a couple of windows cracked? I'm not sure if there is enough airflow, but think it will be okay.

Should be OK, though just in case you may want to pick up a battery powered Carbon Monoxide alarm. I used one in the mog last year to monitor CO levels while running the heater.

You've got a 3" thick self-heating blanket (that thing with the mouth on one end and the rectum on the other). You'll be fine.

I've got an awesome -20 degree sleeping bag and a new Thermarest pad... I'm not worried about anything but my head getting cold. That's the one problem I've never been able to solve adequately.

Maybe you're just not sleeping in the right position. Try this.

I have woken up with ICE on the inside of my truck windows. I am not too worried about the cold, but I am worried about my dog. I guess I shouldn't since he has a double layer coat.

not worried about cold...

good bag and thick therma rest. Plus may be buying military type cot to stay off the ground. Sleep in warm arse wyoming thermals and never any probs.

I have a generator but no room in my truck for it. Curious if I should bring it?

Guys in Oz use big fridge run off second battery system. Trips like this AZ run it wold be sweet as....beer is always ice cold!

BTW, just back in from Aus. tonight. 3 weeks in flip flops and board shorts was nice! Hottest I saw while there was 44c with 96% humidity! Average temp. of the ocean, 28c! I won't mind cool temps, missed almost an entire winter already!

ATM, I am suffering from some serious jet lag...crazy

There was frost on my windshield when I got in my truck to drive in to work this morning. It was nice and warm Saturday, freezing today.

I have no idea what the weather is going to be like next week.

Ok, now wednesday isn't so cold, but it will be cold Saturday morning, proving once again that weather forecasts are all but worthless.
