I really liked Crown King and that area, but I felt bad when we scared the poopie out of Robin with the Lion story.
I did however really enjoy the sledding we did leaving the campsite the next morning.

I'm certainly in for this run and the rest to follow.... Marchall, warm the bed for me, here I cum. (spelled wrong with purpose)

I'll be there regardless of when/where we go. I'll definitely be looking for a heater for our tent-cots though.

Brent.. get an external Hot-Tent heater. That's what I'm planning on doing. No danger of carbon monoxide or the tent burning down then. Just have to cut and sew a hole/fitting in one side of the cot tent for the hot air duct.

I'd be fine for having it on normal spring break week.. FYI, Niki will only be able to go if its held during ASU spring break week though.

Bring on the cold. We'll be stocked to the hilt with propane.

Yea, that's what I was looking at. There's no way to set up a standard catalytic heater in the tent-cots.

I really wasn't that cold in the high country. Wear the right clothes and sleep in them. Plus have a good sleeping bag. Both mine & Stews bags are old old beat 20 degree bags. We did ok....with a nice new 10-15 degree bag we would have been toasty.

Now taking a shit at 7am in the high country kind of sucked. But hey who needs coffee when you have ice cubes for balls!?

Andy, I won't know when spring break is until the school year starts in mid to late August.

Just plan it and let the chips fall as they may.
I will see what I can find out, though. Wink

Mesa public schools has the vacation days for the next two years posted already. Does your school district have a website?

Yes, but they are not exactly "forward thinkers". http://www.jones.k12.ms.us/District/calendar.html

But, you had flexibility, right? It doesn't match up even with the high schools, which is stupid.

Spring break makes life easier but it should not be a show stopper for me if the run doesn't happen during ASU spring break.

My wife got a peek at next year's calendar. Smile
Third week in March. 16th-20th

At this point, I fear that finances will knock me out of next year's run. It's still early, though. Who knows what will happen between now and then.

My wife has been noticing that the boys are forever changed (in a good way) from making that trip. THAT is a plus. Wink

I guess as long as they are not crapping in the front yard. I still have the urge to squeeze one out behind the trees at work.

I always go in the backyard and pee with the dog either on the tree or off the back porch.
