Does anyone out there sell a limited slip conversion for a 1996 2wd truck? I recently moved from Florida to the mountains of NC, and I had my first (disappointing) encounter with driving uphill in the snow.

There are no C200 rear disk Nissan Hard bodys.

Yes they do make a LSD for a C200. Automotive customizes sell a C200 LSD. Also a R200A lsd will drop right in. If AC does not have one in stock. Ask a Nissan dealer for a Nismo parts catalog. Nismo north America sells LSD carriers.

When you buy the carrier you need to but 2 new carrier bearings and outer races. These are about $30 a pice. When I installed my Calmini R200LSD It's much cheaper to just but the new bearings and press them in. I only found once source for a proper carrier bearing removal tool. They were asking 180+ shipping.

I don’t have access to my computer with Nissan FAST to give you the exact part number you need.

Here's the link to A/C LSD

There is no mechanical locker for a C200 or H190 axle. Only mechanical lockers are made for the H233B.

I've did a lot of research before I installed my front LSD. I found no manufacture of any traction aid other than the LSD offered by nissan sold through A/C and calmini. The LSD is expensive because it's imported from europ/japan

Growing up in MN I always loaded the bed with a few hundred pounds of bags of cat litter - the weight helps with traction and the cat litter doesn't freeze as hard as sand so you've got something to throw on the ice when its really slick Wink Worst case you can fill the bed with snow to get more traction.

ARB makes an air locker for the C-200. I bought the LSD from 4x4Parts.com
I have not used it in the snow, however. It works well in mud. Smile

I would think either an H190 or a C200. Take a look at it the axle and see if the diff cover is removable. If the diff cover is removable, its a C200.
