I've ran AT's in deep sand dunes(see Glamis) with no problems. My friends who have been with me in the dunes were impressed on how well the Nissan did, and that was with worn Bridgestone AT's. Granted, I have 4wd not 2wd.

The two wheel drive trucks I've seen in Glamis that do well have paddle tires in the rear and ATs in front. The MTs dig and plow too much in the sand.

With that said, I use my 4wd weekly here on the Big Island but most of that is on very grippy lava rock.

You know what the say about opinions so I'll stop here. Smile

So I had decided on the m/ts, until I read this. It sounds like I need 2 sets of tires. Ill just keep both with me, and change them depending on what I need at the time. Does that sound like a good idea? Maybe if I actually got paid for my job...

But seriously, Im gonna go with the a/ts, Im pretty sure, but I have to get the lift first. $$$ I dont have yet.

How much will my speedo be off? Is it off already? Im running about 29s right now, going to 31s.
