I'll post more pictures when the frame is all painted and some other goodies like a latch. For now my tonneau is holding it shut.

Nice bracing job on the hinge side of your Fronterra? Xtier?

ANd it looks like your front bumper has some more bracing than the last time i saw it to keep it from folding if you rear end a Lincoln Town Car. Good job.
( been there, done that- the Lincoln will win everytime).

No stillworking on it.

bodywork on the cab is kicking my ass, but I think I've got all the curves down.
MadNothing is flat there ( smiley35only used a galloon of Bondo on the dents on the right side of the cab/Rfront of the bed).

Big GrinAfter I have this fixed I will lose my
Senior Bollard Testing Engineer license and have to start all over as a rookie.

I have the fenders painted, but I'm waiting for some warmer days before I give them a final shot of base , and then start the clear.

THe paint from painscratch.com is great stuff, but at 25 bucks a 12.5 ounce can ,kicks my wallet inthe ass.
I painted the inner fenders w/ Rustoleum Professional Enamel( gloss white), and I can't tell the difference( colorwise) between that and the Nissan color "Cloudwhite" that I got from Paintscratch.

At 5$ a 15 ounce can my wallet has a little ass left Smile.

So I talked to Ruystoleum about it and they suggested I google $98 paint job, and sure enough, there's an Hot Rod article where a guy used the same paint- only he rolled it out. That's even cheaper.

He had to thin it down a bunch, but after multiple coats, lots of wetsanding, and a final compounding (after all the painting was done) he's got a bitchen, glossy paint job.

So I'm thinking of trying that, otherwise, I'll go bankrupt buying rattlecan.

Are you going to vertically brace the
TG latch? Or does the bottom of the tailgate onthe right side sit on a "rub stop" to handle all the jiggling?

Are you going to put a "tailgate stop" so you don't crunch your clear corner lens w/ the spare?

I wouldn't do too may burnouts down in Tecolote Canyon( the video link). It's a nature preserve and the Greenies will report you for environmental crimes, not to mention the cops will get you for "display of speed.

I have some rubber rub stop pieces that will go on there on the bottom and Ill box the bed-side of the latch to the bed similar to the hinge side minus the bracing.

Thanks for the warning. I usually do what I do when im done riding my bike and get on my way.
the vid. was actually in the penasquitos canyon preserve but same deal
